Quality Credit Framework

This new framework will be introduced in August this year and it is designed to better reflect what people actually do in their work role and a mix and match approach will hopefully meet their development needs.

How does it work?

There are 3 qualification types in the QCF

  • Awards- 1 to 12 credits
  • Certification-13 to 36 credits
  • Diploma-37 credits or more.

As more information is released we will publish it on the blog and the website www.nvqmadeeasy.co.uk

But there is no info as yet to suggest that the standards for Health and Social Care will change, but watch this space and we will keep you posted!

    hi NVQ made easy!

I am doing my NVQ in Health and Social care level 2 at the moment.
will i be able to carry on doing my NVQ or will it need to be changed to the QCF ???
I dont want all my work to be wasted if the NVQ finishes.
    Thank you

      Hi Paul,

Good question and thanks for asking!
You will be able to complete your NVQ, the new framework does not apply until august and so it will mean anyone registered from then onwards, but anyone already registered for NVQ will be able to complete their award, your work certainly will not be wasted.
The standards are likey to remain the same (with slight tweaking) anyway!

      Good luck !
